Sony is launching the Xperia P in India next week and probably on May, 22nd. According to reports is will have a price tag of nearly Rs. 24,999.

From a couple of days we are hearing about the launch of Xperia U and Xperia SOLA and the company is just bringing it’s next Xperia line up phones to India.Yesterday, Sony Xperia U was made available in India via the online retailers, but still the company has not announced it officially.

Sony is all set to launch its second android phone Xperia U after Xperia S. Sony Mobile India had announced the smartphone in the country along with Xperia Sand Xperia P last month. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor, has a 3.5-inch display with 854x480p resolution and a 5MP camera.

If you are an Indian and waiting for Galaxy Nexus then there is a bad news for you. Samsung confirms that it will not be launching its Galaxy Nexus in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus was launched in October last year.It was the first device to come with the latest Android 4.0 ICS. Since then it has been launched in various market such as US,UK,Singapore,Japan and Korea.

The non-launching of a Nexus device in India is not new. The first Nexus smartphone (with HTC) was never officially launched in India. Even the Nexus S (with Samsung) was introduced in India close to the device’s end of life. It was heard that Samsung was worried that the Galaxy Nexus would have cannibalized sales of its Galaxy Note phablet. The Galaxy Note has sold really well in India, even exceeding Samsung’s expectations.

The Asha 302 is yet to be launched in India, However it is now available in India for      Rs 6,285 in accordance with prices on online retailers FlipKart and LetsBuy.

Like its other sibling the Asha 303, the 302 boasts of a 1GHz processor, 2.4-inch display, 3-megapixel camera minus flash, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and  a 1320 mAh battery. Notably, the device features a candy bar QWERTY design.



In India, the handset is available in red, white, and grey hues.

Priced at Rs 26,900, the Galaxy S Advance features a 4-inch WVGA Super Amoled display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi Direct. However, it still runs on the older Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and not the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Android Phones in India to Get Free 3G Courtesy Google and Reliance



Newly purchased Android smartphones in the country are reportedly going to come with a free 3G plan for six months, thanks to deal between Reliance and Google. The Times of India says that devices will come bundled with a Reliance 3G connection with 1GB of data for free.  This offer goes into effect on April 14 and  will be applicable to HTC, Sony, LG, and Samsung handsets and notable there is no mention of Motorola in the list, which ironically is being acquired by Google.

Sony Xperia S launched in India for Rs 32,549


Sony Mobile today launched its first smartphone under the new Sony brand, the Xperia S, in India. Priced at Rs 32,549, the Xperia S features a 4.3-inch 1280×720 pixel display, a 12.1 MP rear camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 1.3 MP front camera with 720p video recording, NFC and DLNA support. It will run on Android 2.3 out of the box but Sony has promised an Android 4.0 ICS update later this year.
