Sony India launching Xperia P on May 22 at Rs. 24,999


Sony is launching the Xperia P in India next week and probably on May, 22nd. According to reports is will have a price tag of nearly Rs. 24,999.

From a couple of days we are hearing about the launch of Xperia U and Xperia SOLA and the company is just bringing it’s next Xperia line up phones to India.Yesterday, Sony Xperia U was made available in India via the online retailers, but still the company has not announced it officially.

According to the latest reports, Sony will launch the trio of these phones on May, 22nd.Anyway, Xperia P is having a 4.0-inch display and is 540 x 960 pixels in resolution.It is a capacitive touchscreen and is also scratch resistant.The phone is running on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system and soon, it will get the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update.Sony has announced this phone at Mobile World Congress, 2012 with some other good specs which include a 8 Megapixel AF camera and also, there’s a LED flash on the back.
Sony Xperia P is a 3G only device and has connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB port and a 3.5mm AV jack as well.It packs a 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor along with Mali-400 GPU.It is 122 x 59.5 x 10.5 mm in dimensions, 10.5mm in thickness and weighs about 118gm.Internal storage of this device is 16GB and there’s no microSD card slot present on this device.Out of 16GB you can use 13GB only, also, on the front there is a VGA camera for making video calls.
