Dell launches the XPS 14 ultrabook at Rs 82,990 



After announcing upgraded versions of the Inspiron series of notebooks and the XPS 13 UltraBook, Dell today has launched the XPS 14 UltraBook in India for Rs 82,990. Dell says that the XPS 14 features a 14-inch display housed inside an assembly traditionally used for 13-inch panels. Additionally, other design flourishes include a machined aluminum construction in silver with a silicon base including a machined aluminum casing and magnesium palmrest with a soft touch paint.

The XPS 14 features the latest Intel Ivy Bridge silicon with both i5 and i7 variants being offered with clock speeds ranging between 2.6GHz and 3.1GHz. The XPS 14 will also feature discrete graphics from Nvidia, in the form of the new GT 630M chip with 1GB of graphics. It will also have 4GB of RAM, which obviously will be upgradable.
For storage, the XPS 14 will offer a combination of a standard 500GB hard drive and a 32GB mSATA SSD, but Dell will also offer a 512GB SSD variant as well as a 500GB Hard drive version, which combines 128GB of SSD memory.
