Tikona is going to launch 4G services soon

After Airtel, Now Tikona Digital Networks (TDN), who is the winner of Fourth generation (4G) Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) is geared up o launch Long Term Evolution (LTE -TDD) based High Speed 4G Wirelss Broadband service in Gujarat, Himachal Praesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh East and UP West, most probably in the beginning of October 2012.


In India, 4G Broadband services is already launched in Kolkata. CEO,Tikona Digital Networks (TDN), Mr. Prakash Bajpai uttered, “There is lot of potential in teir 2 and tier 3 cities/towns and these markets are untaped. We will rolls out commercial 4G Wireless Broadband services initially from October 2012.”
It was out that in 2010, Tikona won broadband wireless access in 5 five key circles i.e. Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh East and UP West covering 31% population of India for over Rs. 1,058 crore and now they are planning to launch this broadband service there soon.
If we talk about other broadband services then Reliance Infotel Group was the only pan India spectrum winner for 4G / BWA service. Other than it Bharti Airtel has already launched India’s first 4G services in Kolkata. And now Tikona, Qualcomm and MTNL are also there to compete.
