Facebook announces App Centre, a new place to find social apps
Now a days every platform is having its App store,so why wouldn't Facebook have one?
Facebook is launching an app store called the App Center that will showcase apps that exist on the social networking site’s platform and apps that tie in to the site using a Facebook login. The store will be accessible on the Web and on Facebook's iOS and Android apps, and will be available in the coming weeks.
To drive mobile downloads App Centre will be accessible from its iOS and Android apps. If an app needs to be installed on the device, the App Centre will redirect to either the App Store or the Google Play for downloads. The access to the App Centre will, however happen via the Facebook login.
Developers will need to create an app detail page for it to be listed on the App Centre. App detail pages that are eligible for the App Center will be reviewed prior to being listed and priority will be given to those apps that submit before May 18.
